The Institute for the Study of Galactic Civilizations is hosting a conference September 25th-27th in Denver Colorado, exploring our relationship with extraterrestrial visitors and cultures.
The purpose of the Institute for the Study of Galactic Civilizations (ISGC) is to educate the public about Earth's galactic visitors, their culture, and their influence on humanity. Such influences include the areas of spirituality, religion, science, politics, government, war, and health. The Institute will also raise awareness about the galactic message regarding an increase in human consciousness and potential dimension shift. Education will accomplished through workshops, conferences, lectures, website, newsletters, and press releases.

As countries and industries grow increasingly overwhelmed by wave after wave of bankruptcies, layoffs, restructurings, botched contracts, and embarrassing bonuses, they might lose sight of a second, much larger set of tsunamis gathering force over the horizon. While the economy is melting down, technology is moving forward at an even faster rate. The ability to adapt to the accelerating pace of change will determine who survives.
To use the current bailout jargon, at least three major technologies are shovel-ready: the programming of tissues, the ability to engineer cells, and robots. As these breakthroughs and others converge, we are going to see a massive restructuring of global economic power...

One of the newest energy lobbyists claims he has the answer to climate change: spaceships. The government has in its possession "extraterrestrial vehicles," lobbyist Stephen Bassett said. As in flying saucers. Imagine the power source, he said, behind a 30-foot wide saucer that weighs the same as a tractor-trailer yet hurtles through galaxies at 20,000 miles per hour.
"What is the energy system operating that craft?" Bassett said. "They're not burning kerosene."
He added, "It eliminates oil. It eliminates coal. If it's as good as we think it is, it transforms everything." No more ozone hole or melting polar ice caps, Bassett said. And the price of electricity would drop to almost nothing. Bassett believes this. Fervently.
He is working for free as a lobbyist, representing the Hawaii-based Exopolitics Institute, an educational organization which describes itself as "dedicated to studying the key actors, institutions and political processes associated with extraterrestrial life." Bassett said he is less lobbyist and more political activist.
"The UFO phenomenon is real," Bassett said. "The E.T. extraterrestrial presence is real."

On October 8, 2008, I met with the original source that disclosed that a secret meeting had been held at the United Nations headquarters in New York City on February 12 to discuss UFOs and extraterrestrial life. The original source, Source A, discussed the most recent developments concerning secret meetings conducted under UN auspices to discuss UFOs and extraterrestrial life. The October 8 meeting was attended by Source A, Clay and Shawn Pickering (who kindly set up the meeting) and Bob Vanderclock. I spent a total of 4.5 hours discussing the UN meetings and related issues with Source A, and others present. Source A was dressed in full US Navy uniform with identifying insignia including name and rank. He showed me his military I.D. which confirmed his name, rank and pay scale. His I.D. card was valid for a three year period and had a vertical barcode on the left hand side next to his photo.
He subsequently showed me an album filled with photos, military patches and cards that represented his various assignments and awards since first joining the US Navy in the 1960s. He explained each of the pages inside of his album to all present. The material he showed conclusively proved that he was an electronics warfare specialist with the US Navy. With all the documentation presented and his full dress Navy uniform, it was clear that he is a serving US Navy officer willing to discuss sensitive information concerning UFOs and extraterrestrial life. From his careful and precise choice of language, clarity of expression, demeanor, eye-contact and other non-verbal cues, Source A appeared very personable and sincere in the information he was disclosing.

UFO enthusiasts are pressing Barack Obama to release classified documents about sightings of alien spacecraft, encouraged by support from within the President-Elect's own White House team.

Desperate to see the US emulate the British Government and disclose reported "contact" with UFOs, the enthusiasts have written to Mr Obama to ask that his administration comes clean about the contents of America's "X-Files".
They believe they have good prospects of success after public statements of support from both John Podesta, who is running Mr Obama's White House transition team, and Bill Richardson, the Governor of New Mexico - a UFO sighting hotspot - who is expected to secure a cabinet post.
In the letter to Mr Obama, the Extraterrestrial Phenomenon Political Action Committee calls on the President-Elect to "end the six-decade truth embargo regarding an extraterrestrial presence engaging the human race".
The group wants the incoming president to insist on a "full briefing from your military services and intelligence agencies regarding what they know" and to open congressional hearings "to take testimony from scores of government witnesses who have already come forward with extraordinary evidence and are prepared to testify under oath."
